Private Reference, Not a Government Office. This site does not hold the records it describes. We cannot retrieve or certify copies, confirm current occupants, or change a roll or database. Send those requests to the custodian. For an emergency, call 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local law enforcement.
Need a Specific Record?
For common Lake Elsinore record questions, start with the route that matches the subject:
- Who owns or lives along a street: see the Lake Elsinore street directory
- Old directory volumes and past residents: see the Lake Elsinore city directory collections
- Finding or verifying one person: see the Lake Elsinore resident lookup walkthrough
- The offices behind the rolls: see Lake Elsinore resident records offices
- Records not available online: for City or county agency records, file a focused request under the California Public Records Act (CPRA) with the actual custodian; court records follow the Riverside Superior Court access process
Lake Elsinore City Clerk and City Hall: City Hall is at 130 S. Main Street, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530. Call 951-674-3124 or fax 951-674-2392. City records may be held at City Hall, an off-site repository, or digitally under a retention schedule. The Laserfiche WebLink public-records page lets you browse, search, view, and print; use the separate Public Records Request portal when the item is not in WebLink. Inspection at City Hall is free. Copies and mailing are charged by copy type and actual mailing cost. Keep requests focused because the City need not create a new record or list, and an overbroad request can delay identification.
Building & Safety counter: Address-keyed permit and application files may require the counter at 301 N. Spring St., open Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. These are the Building & Safety counter hours, not a City Hall schedule. If a public-record fallback is needed, route it through City Hall. Police records are held by the Riverside County Sheriff, not City Hall.
